Teaching Tai Chi and Eden Energy Medicine

Mar 04, 2025

Teaching Tai Chi classes with class sizes of 5 to 25 participants has given me a wild ride in the world of energy and the way we exchange that energy with each other. As the instructor standing in front of the class, it was amazing to me, how I could “feel” different energies from different people.  I could feel when someone had a tough day or notice when someone was not grounded.  Oh, and don't forget the energy vampires. Those poor people who were energy depleted and wanted to plug into me for some of my energy.  Yikes!  I knew from my Tai Chi experience that energy was all around and how the energy moves in the body with Tai Chi exercises, but I didn’t always know how to explain or to put words to what I “saw” and how to change it quickly.

Thank Goodness Eden Energy Medicine arrived! Adding Eden Energy Medicine into my bank of knowledge has given me a clearer picture and given me the words to explain what was going on and the tools to share to change the flow. I have added several Daily Routine Exercises to the warm-up part of the Tai Chi class and my classes always do large, full body Figure Eights.  The warm-up exercises depend on what I see that the class may need.  Sometimes, if people are tired, we will do the the Three Thumps to get everyone's energy running forward.  Many times, we will do Connecting Heaven and Earth to clear the body of other people's energy and help the joints.

An experience I had the other day prompted me to share this because it was so obvious to me. Two new ladies, a mom and daughter, came to my beginning Tai Chi class and as they walked through the door, I was hit with some wild, frazzled, fragmented energy. They came over to talk with me and asked me a question. I could not get three words out of my mouth, to answer their question, without stumbling my words.  I was so shocked at how quickly I got scrambled and tongue tied!  I did a standing Wayne Cook to clear my scrambled energies and help get the words out of my mouth and Celtic Weave on my front and back to tighten up my aura for energetic protection.  Then I went on to clear the room, smoothing out the energy with focus for the rest of the class.  During class warm-ups, we all did figure eights, earlier in the routine, to calm any other fragmented energies zipping across the room.

After class was over, I sat the mother/daughter team down and taught them the Wayne Cook.  They really had some major issues happening.  Honestly, I really didn't explain too much to them, because they were not ready for words.  All they could do was follow visually and they did whatever I did.  They had the deer in the headlights look on their face.   My intuition told me to start with the Wayne Cook to help ease and de-scramble their energies first.  Hopefully, they did their Wayne Cook homework!  We will see what this next class brings for us energetically and for conversation.

Most of my classes are great and the class, as a whole, does a fantastic job of sharing the energies with each other. But….every once in a while, I get a wild one and now I know what to do to create quick energy shifts.
