Teaching Tai Chi and Eden Energy Medicine

Teaching Tai Chi classes with class sizes of 5 to 25 participants has given me a wild ride in the world of energy and the way we exchange that energy with each other. As the instructor standing in front of the class, it was amazing to me, how I could “feel” different energies from different people.  I could feel when someone had a tough day or notice when someone was not grounded.  Oh, and don't forget the energy vampires. Those poor people who were energy depleted and wanted to plug into me for some of my energy.  Yikes!  I knew from my Tai Chi experience that energy was all around and how the energy moves in the body with Tai Chi exercises, but I didn’t always know how to explain or to put words to what I “saw” and how to change it quickly.

What is Seated Tai Chi?
 
Seated Tai Chi can benefit anyone needing to take a seat for exercise, seniors, pregnant women, people living with disabilities or anyone needing or wanting take a slower pace.
 
Seated Tai Chi will give you some of the same benefits as standing Tai Chi - deep breathing, balancing both sides of the body, upper body strength and flexibility, deeper circulation and more oxygen to the organs and body extremities.   
 
With Seated Tai Chi, or also called Chair Tai Chi, you should sit in a chair that is firm but comfortable. It should be low enough for your feet to touch the ground. With your feet flat, your thighs should be parallel to the ground. Use a chair without arms to maximize your range of motion, as long as you have no problems with stability.
